sunny day

Beautiful sunny day. What I thought was a random marching band turned out to be the changing of the guards which happens everyday around noon. Also heard (and saw) the canons that were fired in honor of Crown Princess Victoria's 30th birthday which is today.

It was that kind of a sunny day here too...low 70's. What are your temps like?

Beautiful shot of the city Margaret! Do you live over there, or the side you shot from?

Have to research the Swedish monarchy...I know nothing about it.

Just realized how low the skyline is, like Boston in the 50's.

We took this picture from Skeppsholmen, a small island which houses some sort of castle and several museums. The picture I took is one of those classic Stockholm shots that you see on all the postcards. You can find out more than you could possibly want to know about the Royal Family by going to the Royal Family . Looks as if Princess Victoria studied at Yale. Reminds me of the fact that the Crown Prince of Norway got his masters from Berkeley ... he was able to go about his life pretty much unnoticed which must have been nice for him.

Thanks Margaret. I used your link to the Royal Family. Yale AND Berkeley...it IS a much smaller world than I thought!
